Peer Project
Building skills. Creating connections. Fostering confidence.
Where friendships blossom through shared interests. Help your child build meaningful connections and master social skills in a fun, supportive environment.
Unlike programs that just practice skills in a clinical setting, The Peer Project is founded on a simple, powerful idea: true friendships blossom from shared interests.
Interest-Based Matching: Groups formed around your child’s unique passions and personality for authentic connections.
Expert-Led Sessions: Designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) and led by skilled Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT).
Real-World Friendships: Build a social circle that extends far beyond group sessions.
Progress Tracking: Regular updates on your child’s participation, engagement, and skill development.
Through fun, hands-on games, role-playing, and teamwork, participants develop crucial life skills:
From initiating chats to confidently joining group discussions.
Discovering and sharing new interests with peers.
Identifying and fulfilling roles within group activities.
Learning to compromise, share, take turns, and resolve conflicts.
Recognizing norms, taking others’ perspectives, and navigating nuances.
Managing emotions and tolerating changes with grace.
Is The Peer Project covered by insurance?
The Peer Project is a private pay program. While not covered by traditional insurance, our agency is an enrolled provider for the ESA+ scholarship program.
How much does the Peer Project cost?
Given the individualization of each group structure, pricing depends on the group format and length. Please contact us to learn more. We proudly accept ESA+ scholarship funding.
How large are the groups?
Each group has 5-8 participants—small enough for personalized attention, large enough to create a dynamic social environment, and increase the likelihood your child will find peers with shared interests.
My child is often anxious or shy in new social situations. How do you support them?
This is very common, and our program is built to address it. We meet every child where they are. Our expert-led groups are safe, supportive, and structured around your child’s personal interests—which naturally reduces anxiety. Our facilitators are skilled in gently encouraging participation and building confidence from day one.
Will I receive updates on my child’s progress?
Yes! Our facilitators provide regular updates on your child’s participation, social engagement, and skill development. You’ll receive clear, personalized reports that highlight milestones, successes, and areas of growth throughout the program.
What if my child doesn’t connect with the group?
Our thorough matching process is designed to create the best possible fit. If concerns arise, our team works closely with you to address them and ensure your child’s success and comfort in the program.
