Trainee Program

At ABtA we value the professional development of all of our employees. For employees on a career pathway to becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), we offer a specialized mentorship and supervision program. This Trainee Training Program includes:

  • Monthly meetings that provide members learning opportunities directly related to diverse Applied Behavior Analytic topics. The meetings follow a specific topic sequence and include time for discussion and review of unrestricted task opportunities. 
  • Supervised Restricted & Unrestricted learning opportunities via a variety of structured tasks and shadowing opportunities that span through a wide series of topics and learner profiles
  • Individualized Feedback 
  • Individualized competency assessments
  • Close adherence to, and guidance on, the BACB requirements for accrual and supervision of fieldwork hours
  • A structured and organized system to store all required trainee documentation in case of an audit from the BACB
  • A structured career path for all trainees where they can grow within their role as they gain experience and fieldwork hours
  • Our trainee program is set up so that the fieldwork hours accrued by the trainee are PAID in nature
  • ABtA provides supervision for all restricted and unrestricted hours at no cost to the trainee
  • ABtA does not require the trainee to maintain employment within the agency for any length of time during or after the end of their supervisory relationship in order to enter their supervisory contracts/trainee program.
